What is The National Day of Denmark?

Grundlovsdag or Constitution Day is The National Day of Denmark. This holiday commemorates the signing of the Danish Constitution on June 5, 1849, and the amended constitution, which was updated and signed on June 5, 1953.

Almost all workplaces and shops close at noon on this particular day and political rallies and meetings are traditionally held. It Also The Father’s Day in Denmark.

The day, however, is not widely used to celebrate the constitution or national day as is seen in other countries, such as in Norway.
