What Is The National Government Type of Canada?

The Canadian government is a democracy. There is an elected Prime Minister. (Stephen Harper) The government responsibilities are shared by the federal, provincial and territorial governments. The federal government’s responsibilities include criminal law, employment insurance, trade regulation, money and banking, transportation, and citizenship.

The provincial and territorial governments share the responsibility of health services, immigration, farming, transportation, and the environment.
