What is The National Sports of Iran?

Iran has no official National sports. Like many other countries, sports play a huge role in the culture of this nation. Most popular sport in Iran is soccer or as they call it football.

The Iranian soccer players usually play on European and American teams and they play at a very high level of football. Iran also qualified for the 1998 and 2006 world cup.

The Iran Football Federation was established in 1920 and joined the Asian football confederation (AFC) in 1958.
