Meaning Of China’s Flag:
The Flag of China is bright red with five golden stars adorning it on the upper left corner. There are many different interpretations of the meaning of the one big star surrounded by four smaller stars to its right. The red background of The Flag symbolizes the communist revolution led by the Communist Party of China. Golden was used as the color of the stars to radiate on the red background.
The star on the left is larger than the other four, and it represents the Communist Party of China. The four small stars on the National Flag Of China represent the 4 social classes – the working class, the peasantry, the urban bourgeoisie, and the national bourgeoisie. Together the 5 stars represent the unity of the people of China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. The whole China National Flag symbolizes Chinese people overcoming all difficulties, defeating all enemies and invaders, and succeeding in all revolutions and construction projects, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
History Of The Flag:
One of the first earlier flags that china used was the “Yellow Dragon Flag”. This Flag Of China was used by the Qing dynasty from 1862 until the overthrow of the monarchy during the Xinhai Revolution. The canton originated from the “Blue Sky with a White Sun flag” which was designed by Lu Haodong. He was a martyr of the Xinhai Revolution. On February 21, 1895, Lu Haodong presented his design to represent the revolutionary army at the inauguration of the Society for Regenerating China, an anti-Qing society in Hong Kong. When the government of the Republic of China was established on January 1, 1912, the “Five-Colored Flag” was selected by the provisional Senate as the China National Flag. On July 4, 1949, the sixth working group of the Preparatory Committee of the New Political Consultative Conference created a notice to submit designs for the National Flag Of China. On September 27, 1949, Zeng’s modified design was selected unanimously by the First Plenary Session of the CPPCC.
