State Motto Of Oklahoma

“Labor Omnia Vincit” Is The Official State Motto Of Oklahoma. This National Motto Of Oklahoma originated from the writings of the Roman poet Virgil, who in his work “The Georgics,” written in 29 BCE, supported Augustus Caesar in his campaign to encourage Romans to farm more. This Oklahoma State Motto appears on the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma. Labor Omnia Vincit was incorporated into the design of the Grand Seal of the Territory of Oklahoma during the second session of the Territorial Legislative Assembly held in Guthrie, January 1893. This is shown, magnified, to the right on the territorial seal.
