20th July Is The National Independence Day of Colombia. Celebrations of this day include official celebrations such as military parades in major cities, speeches by political leaders, flag hoisting, etc. Apart from that, this is a day celebrated with great enthusiasm by the citizens.
There are soccer games for adults as well as for children, face-painting for youngsters. Inflatable moonwalks, traditional Colombian music, folk music, dance and food like arepas, empanadas, tamales, and picada. Celebrations are oriented around the Colombian flag.
