What is The National Flag of Denmark?

The flag of Denmark is red with a white Scandinavian cross that reaches the ends of the flag. It is called the Dannebrog.

The cross design represents Christianity which is also in the flag of Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Aland island and the Faroe Island. Dannebrog is the oldest flag in the world still in use by an independent nation.

According to the legend, Dannebrog was a gift from God and fell from the sky during a battle in Estonia securing Danish victory.
