What Is The National Government Type of Lebanon?

The Lebanese government is a multiparty republic. The constitution was adopted in 1926 and was changed several times right after it became apart of the system, to make it fairer.

It has a one-house parliament, the National assembly, made up of members chosen from popular votes over 4-years.

Selection of the executive branch of government is also based on religion. The National assembly votes for a president who is a Maronite Christian, to work for 6 years. The prime minister and deputy prime minister are appointed by the president and the National Assembly.
