Savannah is a city in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is the county seat of Chatham County and the largest city in the Coastal Empire region of Georgia. Savannah is located on the Savannah River, about 150 miles (240 km) south of Atlanta. The city has a population of 146,815 as of the 2020 census.
