National Flag Of North Korea
The National Flag Of North Korea, also known as the “Ramhongsaek Konghwagukgi” Was Officially Adopted On 8 September 1948. The North Korean National Flag design Consists of two parallel blue bars on the top and bottom sides and a wide central red bar separated from the blue by two thin white lines.
Inside the red bar, on the right-hand side of the Flag Of North Korea, is a white circle with a red five-point star inside. The red star is synonymous with many other communist-era flags of the world. The colors red, white and blue on the flag are known as the traditional colors of the Korean flag.

History Of The Flag
One of the first flags flown in the Korean Empire in the 1800s was the personal standard of the Joseon dynasty who ruled the Kingdom of Joseon for five centuries. The flag of the Korean Empire was adopted in 1882. It was featured a white field with four of non-specified trigrams and a blue and red taegeuk symbol in the center. Japan took control of Korea In 1910 and the white field with red sun flags of Japan was adopted.
After World War II, the Soviet Union occupying the northern half of Korea and the U.S. occupying the southern half of it. The northern portion of the Korean Peninsula became a socialist republic supported by the Soviet Union. In 1948, with support from the Chinese, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was born. The National Flag Of North Korea chosen was a radically different design to the previous ones.
