The National Flag Of Zambia was Adopted On 23rd October 1964 When Zambia got its political independence from British colonialists And slightly modified In 1996. The Flag Of Zambia base is dominantly green. In the bottom right corner, there are three equal-sized vertical stripes from left to right of red, black and orange. Above the stripes, there is an orange eagle. The flag was designed by Gabriel Ellison.

Northern Rhodesia was officially under British control and a British Blue ensign was adopted In 1924. When North Rhodesia gained independence in 1964 the name was changed to Zambia.
