What is The National Tree of Lebanon?
The National Tree Of Lebanon is a Holy Cedar Tree. The green Cedar Tree appears on their flag with a white and red background. The Cedar Tree’s Latin name is Cedrus libani. It is a coniferous tree commonly found in the mountains of Lebanon, Cyprus, Western Syria, Turkey and the Atlas Mountains.
The evergreen Cedar Tree can grow up to 40 meters high. The Cedar is the most prominent symbol of Lebanon, being featured on the flag and coat of arms.
