National Day of Bangladesh

Bijoy Dibosh (Victory Day) : 16th December

On this day, after the nine-month long independence war with Pakistan, the occupying armed forces of Pakistan formally surrendered to the freedom fighters of Bangladesh. After the declaration of Independence, the fight was on for the people of Bangladesh to achieve independence.

Independence Day : 26th March

The Independence Day of Bangladesh also referred to as 26 March, is a national holiday. It commemorates the country’s declaration of independence from Pakistan in the late hours of 25 March 1971.
