What is The National Day of Germany?

The Day of German Unity is the National day of Germany. It Is Celebrated on 3rd October as a public holiday. It commemorates the anniversary of German reunification. Most people enjoy the day off and spend time with friends and family.

There are TV shows about German history and important people make speeches. In Berlin, there are usually concerts or other festivities near the Brandenburg Gate. You will see German flags flying at the Reichstag building in Berlin and in other public places, people don’t usually fly their own flag on the October celebration.
