India is a secular country which means it considers “Humanity” as Its National Religion. There is no official Religion but the Majority of them Follow Hinduism. Hinduism is the main and major religion of India. About 80% of the Indians follow Hinduism as a way of life. Hinduism Consider As A National Religion of India.

Most Hindus worship one Being of ultimate oneness (Brahman) through infinite representations of gods and goddesses. These various deities become incarnate within idols, temples, gurus, rivers, animals, etc. Hinduism has around 750 million followers in the world. Kumbh Mela, Char Dham – The four holy sites at Puri, Rameswaram, Dwarka, and Badrinath, Varanasi, Allahabad, Haridwar-Rishikesh, Mathura-Vrindavan and Ayodhya, Major Temples like Vaishnava Jagannath temple are the major pilgrimage place.

According to the 2011 census, 79.8% of the population of India practices Hinduism, and 14.2% adheres to Islam, while the remaining 6% adheres to other religions (Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism, and various indigenous ethnically-bound faiths). Christianity is the 3rd largest religion in India.
